The vehicle on the left side hit a water main and required fire crews’ assistance to get out of the vehicle. It is only takes one second to become distracted and get involved in an accident. Fortunately, most of those involved walked away. A single, momentary distraction on the road can cause a collision and put numerous people at risk. The U.S. Government’s official website for distracted driving reveals, “In 2014, 3,179 people were killed, and 431,000 were injured in motor vehicle crashed involving distracted drivers.” Those numbers are nothing short of shocking.
